The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM), established in 1969, is a premier institution dedicated to advancing the field of aviation maintenance through exceptional education and training. Position Purpose   


The Corporate Financial Aid Officer is responsible for processing and maintaining financial aid packaging and services, for Title IV and non-Title IV, in support of campuses.




Job Responsibilities   



  • Package student aid, verify student reported data, review students for disbursement eligibility and approve disbursements to pay. Reconcile student level disbursement data with Federal data.

  • Audit processes ensure accuracy and timeliness in all aspects of servicing functionality.

  • Assist with program review/audit responses. Review and maintain familiarity with regulatory guidance from the US Department of Education.

  • Adhere to FA Code of Conduct and ensure compliance with state/federal and accrediting agencies.

  • Maintain regular status updates and upward communication to management to include regular, established reporting, and action taken to resolve issues.

  • Perform and complete other tasks that may be assigned by Supervisor


Qualifications for this Job




Education  



  • High School Diploma or GED, or equitable on the job Financial Aid experience

  • College degree or minimum of 1 year college level coursework in accounting, finance, or related field


 


Experience/Skills  



  • Prior experience processing financial aid, knowledge and understanding of financial aid web modules required.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, performance-driven, compliance-oriented educational environment

  • Detail-oriented, analytical, highly organized, and can multi-task and work well under pressure

  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, strong work ethic, and professionalism

  • Persuasive and effective verbal and written communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service in an educational setting

  • Highly motivated and goal-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills

  • Able to work independently and as a collaborative team member and have exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Excellent computer skills are required with proficiency in MS Office applications including, but not limited to, Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams. CampusNexus experience a plus.

  • Ability and willingness to work outside of regular work shifts, including evenings and/or weekends as necessary or as requested by Supervisor  


 


Work Schedule



  • Monday-Friday: 8:30am - 5pm at our home office location in Virginia Beach, VA
