Summary

The primary job function is to provide technical, operational, and strategic support to the Corporate Giving department through grant and sponsorship administration, partnership development, and performance reporting. The position manages SRP’s grant processing platform, CyberGrants (Bonterra), coordinates sponsorship and community engagement activities, and supports budget planning, tracking, and reconciliation activities associated with corporate contributions. The role serves as a liaison between internal departments, external nonprofit organizations, vendors, and community partners to ensure effective communication, project execution, and alignment with SRP’s community-focused strategy. 
 
In addition, the position supports the planning, execution, and evaluation of select sponsorships, events, and community engagement initiatives that strengthen SRP’s brand, improve customer and community relationships, and deliver measurable business and community outcomes. 

What You'll Do


  • Manage SRP’s external corporate giving platform, CyberGrants (Bonterra), including intake, evaluation, processing, payment, and administration of  community support requests. 

  • Evaluate community support requests and provide recommendations regarding funding sources and alignment with community engagement priorities. 

  • Build and maintain relationships with select nonprofit organizations, vendors, community leaders, and internal stakeholders. 

  • Serve as a liaison between Corporate Giving, Corporate Secretary, and other business units for presentations, stakeholder meetings, and project coordination. 

  • Assist in developing executive summaries, presentations, grant documentation, reports, and project plans. 

  • Negotiate and execute select sponsorship opportunities. 

  • Lead and support select community-focused projects by coordinating cross-functional teams and external partners. 

  • Develop, monitor, and report KPIs for community-focused projects, inclusive of budget management. 

  • Contribute to board presentations, audits, and reporting. 

Education

A bachelor's degree relevant to the assignment from an accredited institution is preferred.

Experience

This position may be filled at one of three levels outlined below, based on the candidate’s relevant education, experience, or a combination of both that demonstrates the required knowledge, skills, and competencies.



  • Level I — Associate: In lieu of a degree, 4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 4 years may be considered.

  • Level 2 – Journey: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required. In lieu of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 6 years may be considered.

  • Level 3 – Senior: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience totaling 9 years may be considered. Eligibility for advancement (progression) to the next level in the same role is based on overall job performance, mastery of all functional responsibilities, and time in position, as assessed by the supervisor.

Additional Requirements and Qualifications


  • Demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in sponsorship strategy and negotiation, community outreach and event marketing, project management, and project evaluation. Experience in public relations, advertising, marketing or a related discipline is preferred. 

  • Demonstrated success in building, developing and managing communications and strategy initiatives. 

  • Ability to perform under pressure, manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines while maintaining strong attention to detail. 

  • Working knowledge of the electric utility industry is highly desired. 

  • Demonstrated success in applying sound marketing principles, customer segmentation and performance metrics in developing and implementing business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing projects. 

  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in marketing principles and creative production. 



 


Hybrid Workplace


SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
