Full-time Salary Position starting at $52k DOE plus benefits.Located in Albuquerque, NM. 
*Working as part of our Corporate Team, this position requires travel on a need-be basis. *

Job Purpose: The Corporate Landscaping Manager works under the direction of the Corporate Director of Landscaping Services to oversee and maintain the landscaping and grounds across Heritage Companies, including locations in Taos, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Las Cruces. This role requires travel to ensure that all properties are maintained in pristine, safe, and well-kept conditions. As a key leader, you will support on-site teams, implement sustainability initiatives, and ensure the properties reflect the adventure, art, and culture of New Mexico—creating inspiring outdoor spaces that elevate the overall experience for guests.

Essential functions and responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain horticultural best practices for Southwestern landscapes, with expertise in xeriscaping and sustainable landscaping.
  • Oversee daily maintenance of grounds, including planting, irrigation, tree removal, trimming, and parking lot upkeep.
  • Develop and manage seasonal landscaping strategies to maintain property aesthetics and safety.
  • Supervise and train landscaping staff, conducting regular meetings to communicate goals, strategies, and expectations.
  • Provide training in equipment usage, landscaping techniques, and workplace safety to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee and coordinate with vendors and contractors, ensuring work is completed efficiently with minimal disruption.
  • Monitor and manage applications of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides while ensuring environmental compliance.
  • Maintain accurate reports and records for maintenance activities, personnel actions, invoices, and purchasing transactions.
  • Utilize strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills to manage multiple properties efficiently.
  • Exhibit a high level of customer service and professionalism when interacting with employees, guests, tenants, and vendors.
  • Take initiative and independently complete tasks, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Respond to landscaping emergencies outside normal working hours as needed.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends, as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.), such as power sprayers, blowers, and air compressors.
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolds and perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in outdoor environments with exposure to inclement weather and varying temperatures.
  • Experience: 4-5 years in landscaping, grounds management, or a related field.
  • Experience in all aspects of irrigation systems, maintenance and repair
  • Preferred: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Landscaping, Environmental Science, or a related field.
