Description

Position Summary

 Based at our Shared Services Center in Summerlin (Las Vegas, NV) this position will support our rapidly expanding retail automotive group, currently with locations in six states. You will assist our corporate attorney with Corporate Governance, Litigation, and Employment matters while growing into a role with greater responsibility as the department continues to expand. 

  

Responsibilities:

  • Support Legal Team with litigation documents, deadlines, correspondence, and research.
  • Maintain and update matter files and matter tracking system, including correspondence, revisioning and approval of correspondence. 
  • Research various legal, litigation, employment, collections, and other issues and prepare analysis for presentation to Attorney and Senior Staff.
  • Monitor sensitive and escalated general liability, employment, collections and other cases for timely responses and deadlines.
  • Help manage vendor, supplier, and outside counsel performance in relation to litigation, collections, and other various day-to-day legal matters. 
  • Familiarity with legal documents and evaluation of company’s risk exposure, and collections experience is strong plus. 
  • Conduct legal research as needed at the direction of the Attorney or Senior Staff.
  • Provide exceptional support for Legal and Executive teams regarding litigation, compliance, collections, and other legal matters. 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred with major course work in Business Administration, Law, Paralegal Studies, or Finance.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years of increasingly responsible professional level experience.
  • Ability to multitask and efficiently and effectively prioritize tasks to meet critical deadlines.
  • Extreme attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Expertise in organization and time management
  • Provide hospitality-obsessed level of customer service to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships.
  • Ability to maintain absolute integrity and confidentiality around highly sensitive information.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
