Bryant Staffing Solutions is partnering with a nationally recognized professional services firm seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to join its Methods, Credits & Incentives (MCI) practice, focused on Research & Development (R&D) tax credits. In this role, you will guide clients through the complexities of federal and state R&D tax regulations, ensuring compliance while identifying valuable tax-saving opportunities. You will lead engagements, supervise project teams, and collaborate with leadership on both technical delivery and business development initiatives. This is a hybrid opportunity offering flexibility and exposure to a diverse client base across industries such as technology, life sciences, manufacturing, construction, real estate, hospitality, and nonprofit.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage R&D tax credit studies from planning through delivery
Conduct on-site client visits, facility tours, and technical interviews
Analyze financial data, prepare cost schedules, and perform tax computations
Research federal and state R&D tax regulations and relevant case law
Review and amend tax returns as needed
Oversee multiple engagements to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
Support proposal development and contribute to business growth initiatives
Mentor and supervise junior team members
Travel to client sites as required
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
Active CPA license or active JD/Attorney license (EA certification not accepted)
6-10 years of experience in R&D tax credits (Fixed Asset or Tax Accounting Methods experience also considered)
Minimum 4 years of experience in public accounting or consulting
Prior project management experience
Strong understanding of federal and select state R&D tax regulations
Experience amending tax returns
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to travel and work additional hours when needed
Preferred Qualifications
Master's or Ph.D. in Economics, Statistics, Public Policy, Mathematics, Finance, Engineering, or related quantitative field
Experience serving clients in technology, manufacturing, life sciences, construction, hospitality, or nonprofit sectors
