Job Summary:
Sun Holdings is seeking an experienced Corporate Transactional and Compliance Attorney to join our in-house legal team. This role will support a broad range of corporate, compliance, and transactional matters for our multi-brand restaurant portfolio. Reporting to senior legal leadership, the attorney will provide counsel on contracts, acquisitions, governance, and regulatory issues, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws. The ideal candidate will bring 5–12 years of legal experience with a strong foundation in corporate transactions and compliance and the ability to operate with sound judgment in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):
As a Corporate Transactional and Compliance Attorney, you will oversee and advise on a wide range of legal matters impacting corporate operations. This includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts; managing compliance programs and policies; and providing guidance on governance, risk management, and regulatory issues. You will support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions, ensuring due diligence, document preparation, and execution align with business objectives and legal requirements. This role also involves partnering with business leaders across departments—including finance, HR, real estate, and operations—to deliver practical legal solutions while protecting the company’s interests.
What You’ll Bring (Requirements):
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited American law school.
- Active bar license in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (Texas preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years practicing law, with 5–12 years of total legal experience strongly preferred.
- Background in corporate law, transactional work, and compliance.
- Experience drafting and negotiating contracts, and advising on regulatory or compliance issues.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal stakeholders and external counsel.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to confidentiality.
