Correspondent QC Underwriter

The individual in this position is responsible for assessing loan quality in accordance with

established underwriting guidelines, loan documentation, and other pertinent information

within the closed loan file. All employees of The Money Source are required to deliver high-

Duties and Responsibilities

? Re-underwrite loan files to ensure original decisions align with current quality control

objectives.

? Verify accuracy and completeness of origination documents.

? Analyze property appraisals to confirm value and eligibility.

? Provide loan quality feedback to the VP of Quality Control and Compliance Officer.

? Ensure reviews meet acceptable risk parameters.

? Maintain compliance with regulations, investor, and agency guidelines.

? Review underwriting for policy-selected loans.

? Communicate decisions and build relationships with stakeholders.

? Investigate and resolve critical/noncritical issues.

? Discuss audit results with VP of Quality Control and Compliance Officer.

? Review approved criteria loans for quality assurance.

? Alert management to recurring deficiencies.

? Identify root causes of deficiencies and weaknesses.

Experience

? Over four years of experience in mortgage underwriting to agency guidelines (FNMA,

FHLMC, FHA, VA, USDA)

? Experience in underwriting non-QM loans

? Comprehensive knowledge of agency and federal regulatory guidelines and procedures

? Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and effective communication skills

? Strong analytical skills and aptitude for decision-making

? Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment

? Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Minimum Daily Production Standards

12 units per day. KPIs to be measured and reported daily.

Direction Received: Receives general guidance and direction from VP of Quality Control and Compliance Officer

Direction Given: No authority or supervision of others

Status for timekeeping requirements

Non-exempt timesheet for tracking sick and vacation accruals. Employees are required to report to work by 8:30 am local time each day.
