Cosmetology Instructor – Federal Training Program (Fort Worth, TX)
📍 Location: Federal Medical Center (FMC) Carswell – Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base, Fort Worth, TX 76127
💼 Contract Position | Full-Time Schedule (30 hrs/week)

About Us:
Augustine Angels (a certified Women-Owned Small Business) is seeking a licensed Cosmetology Instructor to deliver vocational training to adult students at FMC Carswell under a federal contract. This program helps prepare students for careers in cosmetology while meeting the Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR) 1,000-hour requirements.

Responsibilities:

Teach and supervise cosmetology courses in accordance with Texas licensing requirements and institutional curriculum.

Deliver both classroom and hands-on (live work) instruction.

Prepare lesson plans, track attendance, and submit student progress reports.

Maintain a safe and professional classroom environment.

Assist with supply inventory and certification paperwork.

Adhere to all institutional rules and security procedures.

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM (with 1-hour lunch)

Approx. 30 instructional hours per week / 1,500 hours annually

Federal holidays off

Qualifications:

Must hold a valid Texas Department of Licensing & Regulation (TDLR) Cosmetology Instructor License.

At least 1 year of instructional experience in cosmetology (teaching or training).

Strong knowledge of the TDLR-required curriculum (1,000-hour program).

Ability to work in a correctional setting and pass all required background checks (NCIC, fingerprinting, credit check, urinalysis, etc.).

Compensation:

Competitive hourly pay.
