Main Responsibilities:
Job cost allocations and billing
Assist in all month-end close process, including journal entry preparation, and account reconciliations
Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations
Assist in preparing audit schedules at year-end
Demonstrates in depth knowledge of accounting principles
Ability to efficiently work toward and consistently meet deadlines
Perform special projects, other ad-hoc duties, as needed
Maintain amortization & depreciation schedules
Required Experience, Traits, & Skills:
4-5 years of accounting experience
Experience with Sage or Vista Viewpoint software
Excellent reconciliation skills
Prior work experience in the construction industry
College Degree and/or Certification in Accounting
Knowledge of general accounting principles and reporting requirements
Proficient in MS Office Suite, particularly MS Excel
Highly organized, energetic, focused, and detail oriented
Self-directed with a high level of initiative and a 'can do' attitude
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines
Highly resourceful problem solver
Ability to work both independently and cooperatively in a fast-paced environment
Impeccable and concise communication and presentation skills
Poised and mature attitude, always remaining calm under pressure
Experience and a commitment to delivering excellence in customer service
Reliable and dedicated to the success of the team
Willing and able to be cross-trained and take on a variety of tasks
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work in an office environment
Ability to sit or stand at desk for long periods of time and intermittently walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach while performing office duties
Ability to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; lift and/or move light weights
Ability to maintain effective audio-visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations, communicating with others, reading, and writing, and operating office equipment
Ability to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a keyboard to communicate through written means, to review information and enter/retrieve data
Ability to see and read characters on a computer screen
Ability to lift and carry cartons or packages weighing up to 20 pounds
