Key Responsibilities to Include:

• Facilitate the preparation of periodic financial reports such as payroll, inventory adjustment, manufacturing spending and plant profitability.
• Retrieve weekly actual manufacturing production data such as labor and overtime hours worked vs pounds produced for and prepare periodic reports including weekly DSI Inventory.
• Reconcile General Ledger account balances and bank statements on a monthly basis.
• Analyze/Correct item costing as needed.
• Support monthly close in payroll posting, journal entries, and/or close analysis and Corporate file updates.
• Support Sales and Use tax and other tax activities from plants or Corporate.
• Support the development of automated tools or reports for saving opportunities to business and finance team.
• Expanded responsibilities can include yield report, variance analysis, overtime trends, Asset controls, Inventory verification, preparation and review of Return on Investment/financial justifications for plant capital projects.
• Directly report to the Sr. Manager, Manufacturing Finance, with ad hoc assignments from plant and business team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, advanced math skills.
• Prior experience in manufacturing and/or knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures within a manufacturing environment.
• ERP experience, preferably with Microsoft NAVISION and/or SAP.
• Strong Excel (model development, Pivot Tables, function/formula understanding).
• Strong analytical mind-set.
• Ability to communicate effectively with corporate management, as well as plant personnel.
