Job Overview

A culturally competent and compassionate Counselor who provide evidence-informed treatment to build positive interactions, enhance child, parent and family well-being and stabilize the home and family.  The counselor engages each family with specific goals designed to develop and strengthen the unique characteristics of that family; taking a relational approach.  Address safety concerns and enhance functioning and well-being of children and families residing in the following counties: Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, and Salem.

Program Info

Functional Family Therapy (FFT) is an evidence-based intervention for youth and families.  This high-quality, strength-focused family counseling model is designed primarily for at-risk youth who have been referred by the juvenile justice, mental health, school, or child welfare systems.  FFT is an effective treatment for a wide range of behavioral problems such as symptoms of conduct, oppositional and defiant behaviors.

Key Responsibilities 

• Provide in-home therapeutic services to families using an evidence-based clinical approach 

• Provide culturally competent care to client population 

• Collaborate with system partners as needed, and continuously assess client needs and adjust services accordingly 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant mental health discipline 

• Must have strong clinical skills and a willingness to learn 

• Motivation and strong social skills to build healthy relationships with our clients and partner 

• Flexibility and passion for working with children/adolescents 

• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record. Local travel required.  

Additional Information:

• Base Rate: $21.30
• Sign-on Bonus: $500
• Bilingual Rate: You will receive an additional $1.50 added to the base rate if Spanish proficient.
