M&D also stocks a complete assortment of turbos (new and remanufactured), inframe overhaul kits, filtration and aftertreatment parts including DPFs, DOCs, EGRs, sensors and other engine parts.

Position Summary 

The Counter Sales & Conversion Specialist supports company growth by managing sales opportunities, assisting walk-in customers, processing orders and estimates, and maintaining excellent customer relationships. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude to help grow sales and improve customer satisfaction. Training and advancement opportunities are available within our sales team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Counter Sales Functions:

• Assist walk-in customers in product sales and will-call order pickups
• Release pending orders and follow up with customers to confirm needs
• Look up parts and provide pricing and availability quotes
• Maintain inventory displays
• Handle overflow phone calls to enhance customer service
• Support retention of key accounts and perform other duties as assigned

Conversion Specialist Functions:

• Follow up on open estimates and convert them into sales opportunities
• Confirm and process customer quotes and orders
• Make outbound calls to prospective leads
• Use internal databases to look up parts, check availability, and suggest products/services
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date customer records and follow the company’s sales processes
• Monitor and report lost sales to management
• Adhere to company policies and deliver excellent customer service

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with order management systems
• Bilingual required – Spanish and English
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic math and typing skills
• Successful completio n of pre-employment background and drug screening
• Fosters good coworker citizenship and contributes to a positive work environment
