JOB SCOPE SUMMARY –
The Counter Sales Service Associate is responsible for providing excellent customer service at the branch counters by pulling orders, troubleshooting questions regarding proper parts and purchases, and overall serving as the face of Johnstone Supply to internal and external customers.
Provide exceptional customer service by answering calls, greeting customers, and assisting with product selection through active listening and technical support. Use various tools to research, source, and recommend products and alternatives, while efficiently managing multiple customer requests. Process sales, returns, and warranties using a point-of-sale system, and follow up on inquiries, quotes, and delivery updates. Build strong customer relationships by proactively recommending complementary products, promotions, and surplus or discounted inventory to enhance satisfaction and profitability. Resolve customer complaints professionally and in alignment with company policies. Prepare and issue sales quotes according to company guidelines, following up to secure sales. Maintain showroom cleanliness, create engaging displays, adhere to pricing and credit policies, and deliver products using a company vehicle for bin stock replenishment. Communicate significant changes in product demand or inventory levels to purchasing or management.
WORK SCHEDULE –
Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week between the business hours of 8am – 5pm.
