GENERAL SUMMARY

The Courier is responsible for picking up and delivering documents, letters, packages and other items on time between organization facilities.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Picks up and delivers documents, letters, packages and other items on time between organization facilities.
• Responds to inquiries about pick up and delivery schedules.
• Loads all necessary supplies needed for the daily pickups.
• Completes daily pick up schedule in a timely manner.
• Delivers all daily picks (mail and packages) to your branch at the end of your shift.
• Safely operates company vehicle and obeys all traffic laws.
• Utilizes handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Works directly with dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluates traffic patterns, alternative routes and weather conditions as needed.
• Maintain Travel Logs.
• Performs other position related duties as assigned.
• Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and will comply with and assist in complying with all applicable laws and regulations. This will include and not be limited to following the Solaris Health Code of Conduct and all Solaris Health and Affiliated Practice policies and procedures; maintaining the confidentiality of patients' protected health information in compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA); immediately reporting any suspected concerns and/or violations to a supervisor and/or the Compliance Department; and the timely completion the Annual Compliance Training.

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURES OR REGISTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Must have a Valid State Driver's License and clean driving record.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years’ old.
• Must maintain a valid vehicle insurance policy.
• Previous driver/courier experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
