Courier/Pilot Car Driver/Lot Attendant

Stepp's Towing and Heavy Transport is looking for someone to join the team as a Courier/Pilot Car Driver/Lot Attendant. We are seeking candidates who possess a positive attitude, customer service skills, and problem-solving abilities. 

Essential Functions:

The ideal candidate must be able to do the following:

• Responsible for picking up and dropping off paperwork from all Stepp’s Towing and Heavy Transport lots in Tampa, Gibsonton, Lakeland, Zephyrhills, San Antonio, St. Petersburg, and possibly Orlando.


• On-call to cover Lot Attendant absences.


• Responsible for the Installation of Stepp’s Tow Away Signs.


• Pilot car for oversized loads to and from pick-up and delivery locations.


• Communicates using CB radio as needed.


• Duties may vary according to job assignment.

Physical Requirements for the Position Include:

• Lifting, crawling, pulling, constant use of hands, significant bending and reaching, climbing, significant physical strength, and stamina.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license required.


• Pilot Escort license preferred (Stepp’s will provide if the candidate does not have one)


• Great customer service skills


• High school diploma/GED


• Ability to sit for prolonged periods, maintain alertness, and maintain flexibility -Utilize Problem Solving Skills, as situations arise


• Excellent communication skills - must be able to effectively communicate with office staff, drivers, and customers, as well as adapt to changing needs

Schedule:

Pay:

• $20 - $25
