Description

Veritas-HHS seeks a Court Specialist to work at the Chattanooga Child Support Office as well as Juvenile Child Support Courthouse located in Chattanooga, TN.

About the Position:

The Court Specialist is an integral part of the establishment and enforcement process. The position supports attorneys and case managers, assisting with the scheduling of hearings, management of the court docket, facilitating service of process and genetic testing. This individual reports to a Team Leader.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Prepare service documents at direction of attorney.
  • Copy court documents for filing and entry.
  • Enter court orders into state system within Federal Timeframes.
  • Coordinate service of process at court.
  • Route court documents to appropriate case managers and attorneys.
  • Transport documents to and from court for filing, as needed.
  • Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year’s experience in legal, government services, or similar office preferred but not required.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
