Ace Handyman Services (AHS), an ACE Hardware company is one of New Jersey’s top-rated handyman, repair, and remodeling companies and have provided homes and businesses throughout New Jersey with quality craftsmanship for their handyman needs.  Our customer service commitment includes professional handyman services providing “white glove treatment”, an office team to schedule work, exact appointment times versus appointment windows, employee background checks, company insurance, superior craftsmanship and a 1 year guarantee on all work. We are currently seeking a reliable, highly motivated professional Craftsman/Woman with skills in multiple trades and leadership capability. Job Duties 
The AHS Craftsman effectively uses hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment. He/She is a professional with excellent customer service skills and desires to supervise other employee(s). He/She has demonstrated ability as a competent craftsman. 


Job Responsibilities

  • Perform all types of quality handyman repairs

  • Carpentry

  • Drywall repair

  • Painting

  • Tile work

  • Basic plumbing and electrical

  • Project Estimating

  • Supervision of craftsmen

  • Take pride in doing it right the first time 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of Craftsman experience

  • Valid drivers license, auto insurance, own a truck/van

  • Have a solid, organized set of tools 

  • Must be a quick thinker, able to examine issues and resolve them in a prompt and professional manner

  • Strong work ethic and professional demeanor. Clean cut appearance

  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills

  • Collaborative, optimistic, reliable

  • The territory coverage for this particular franchise are in many zip codes in North Jersey.

  • Look around the property and communicate to the customer things you could repair or things that our company can handle. 

  • Take the time to earn the customer’s confidence and then inquire about additional work that could be performed.

  • Sometimes, take the time to fix something small and then point it out to the customer to help them understand that you are capable of doing more.

  • Someone who is punctual and efficient, maintains the highest integrity and strives for top customer satisfaction.

  • Enjoys being an Integral part of a winning team.

  • Demonstrates ability and willingness to EXCEED Customers' expectation

Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
