Crane Operator - Material Expeditor

RESPONSIBILITIES: Below are the main responsibilities for this position. (This description may not include all duties required of this position). Certified Crane Operator with experience operating Hydraulic, Crawler Cranes and other Cranes. Operate mechanical boom and cable, friction cranes, or tower and cable equipment to lift and move materials, machines, or products in many directions on various projects. Interpret and follow all signals. Operator must also inspect and compare load weights with lifting capacity and load charts to ensure against overload AS WELL AS recommend appropriate actions to maintain the crane in good working order, meet all OSHA requirements in connection with crane operation. This includes but not limited to daily inspection log, focus on crane operation, and be able to safely hoist, move and place materials and objects using appropriate attachments.  May assist in cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining mechanisms, such as pulleys, and etc. Must be familiar with electro/hydraulic cranes, lattice Boom and friction type cranes. Must be familiar with good rigging practices and operate each crane in a safe and professional manner. Other duties may be assigned as needed. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May report directly to a supervisor or manager. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
