Crankshaft Cell Operator

JOB SCOPE:

·        Operate equipment to externally grind parts to required specifications. Operations include\: External Grinder and Surface Grinder.

·        Operate machinery to machine, process, refurbish and finish parts to required specifications. Machining operations include\: Machine Polishing, Various Lathes and Milling Operations and other Manufacturing or Machining Operations.

·        Utilize equipment necessary to perform the following operations on engine components to required specifications\: Straightening, Assembling, Bench Grinding and Polishing, Mill and Drill, Balancing and Automatic Saw.

·        Utilize blueprints, processes, bill of materials and measuring and inspection equipment to complete assigned tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES\:

·        Perform other duties inherently required of the job classification.

·        Perform assigned work in a safety conscious manner.

·        Perform assigned work to specified quality and production standards.

·        Maintain equipment and tools used by the individual in a clean condition.

·        Perform assigned cleaning required to maintain individual's immediate work area in a clean condition.

Prepare and/or maintain all documentation necessary to the duties of the job classification

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        High School Diploma or GED

·        Previously held a classification or a position demonstrating the ability to operate manufacturing machinery, or satisfactorily completed a company provided or outside training demonstrating some machine skills or equivalent to that required to operate manufacturing machinery.
