Crash Test Engineer

Description

This position is based on East Liberty, OH but requires roughly 2 months of training/planning in Northern California upon hire.

This is how you will grow:

• Manage test request documentation and liaise with the test facility for vehicle test preparation and test execution
• Coordinating reworks and vehicle teardown with technicians on site
• \Document test set-up & observations during test preparation, execution and teardown (e.g. recording weights, collect info from test facility, preliminary CMM data checks, review initial data sets)
• Liaise with the wider team to manage onboard equipment (sensor data collection, CAN loggers)
• Review initial data sets, initiate issue resolution, root cause analysis, maintaining Jira tickets, etc.
• Test data management (data sharing & organizing)
• Support resource planning and communicate timing updates

Requirements

This is how you will take us forward:

• 3 plus years of experience
• Engineering degree highly preferred
• Background  in vehicle crash testing and safety systems 
• Experience being the liaison between the vehicle manufacturer and the test house. 
• Customer focus, independent and quality-conscious approach to work
• Team and communication skills
