Crating Associate

We are DSA Doors, a well-established manufacturing company in Raleigh, NC. We are looking for an experienced Wrapping and Packaging Associate to join our growing team in Raleigh, NC. We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Wrapper to join our team in the shipping department of our door manufacturing facility. The Wrapper is responsible for operating specialized machinery to securely wrap and package doors, ensuring they are protected during storage and transportation. This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction by preventing damage in transit.

Responsibilities:

• Operate wrapping machinery and other packaging equipment to prepare finished doors for shipment.
• Apply protective materials (e.g., foam, cardboard, plastic wrap) according to company standards.
• Inspect doors prior to wrapping to identify any defects or damage.
• Ensure proper labeling and tagging of wrapped doors.
• Stack and secure wrapped doors in custom crates for safe transport.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on wrapping machinery and report issues promptly.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Collaborate with production and shipping teams to meet daily quotas and deadlines.
• Assist with loading and unloading as needed.

Requirements of the position:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
• Familiarity with operating packaging or wrapping equipment is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, work orders, and safety guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to stand, lift, and move objects (up to 50 lbs) for extended periods.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
