The Wyoming Office of Tourism (WOT) is seeking a Creative Assets Manager to join the Brand Studio team. As the only statewide organization dedicated to growing the visitor economy, WOT is responsible for creating and deploying inspiring and innovative marketing campaigns that help to boost Wyoming’s economy through the positive impacts of travel. We support and foster destination development, making our local towns and counties visitor ready. By doing so, we contribute to the economic well-being of our communities and our residents.

The WOT Brand Studio team serves Wyoming by championing the destination and the brand. This is accomplished through the execution of an integrated marketing strategy aimed at raising the visibility of the brand while ensuring a compelling narrative inspires visitation to Wyoming.

Basic Purpose:

The Creative Assets Manager is a manager-level role responsible for the strategic oversight and hands-on management of all creative asset development, ensuring a cohesive and impactful presence across all owned, earned, and paid media channels. This includes optimizing assets for online social media and diverse digital platforms. You will collaborate with the Content Manager, Interactive Marketing Manager, and other internal teams to drive initiatives, provide detailed feedback, and actively contribute to shaping assets to support our content strategy. You will manage our in-state agency and collaborate with other external vendors, defining clear timelines and ensuring seamless execution of marketing objectives. This position reports directly to the Brand Integration Sr. Manager.

Essential Duties:

  • Oversee all aspects of project management for visual and creative asset development, from concept to delivery, ensuring projects are on time, within budget, and meet strategic objectives.

  • Manage our in-state agency, providing direction for creative asset development in support of our content strategies. This includes budget management, defining clear timelines, communicating project details, and fostering collaboration to keep projects on track with our brand vision.

  • Lead the management and maintenance of our Digital Asset Management System (DAMS), optimizing it to support industry, film, and media requests.

  • Integrate photography and video assets across all paid, owned, earned, and third-party platforms while continuously monitoring brand integrity. This includes a critical understanding of social media channels, ensuring assets are tailored for optimal performance and engagement across platforms like CrowdRiff, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, and emerging social platforms.

  • Proactively identify potential roadblocks and develop solutions, providing detailed feedback to vendors to maintain high standards of quality and alignment with brand guidelines. Apply a "social lens" to all asset evaluation, anticipating how creative will perform in a social media context and proactively suggesting adjustments.

  • Ensure incoming photography and video acquisitions meet brand and technical standards necessary to support communication functions across all channels. Possess an in-depth understanding of social media trends, asset requirements (sizes, specs), and best practices for various social channels to ensure maximum impact and reach.

  • Possess and apply strong knowledge of film permitting and location management for film production throughout Wyoming, actively facilitating potential film projects.

  • Perform digital asset lifecycle maintenance activities, such as digital archiving and asset expiration, to maintain an organized and current library.

  • Develop and document clear standards, policies, and procedures for DAMS usage, ensuring efficient workflows.

  • Implement taxonomy, vocabulary, and metadata management strategies following industry best practices (SEO, ADA, automation, global).

  • Facilitate growth of the digital asset management library and improve search efficiency.

  • Oversee the operation and maintenance of in-house production equipment.

  • Manage and/or shoot a variety of productions around the state, including tourism events, tourism-related businesses, and activities.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the film industry and its role in promoting Wyoming as a production location.

  • Be available to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends, as required by project demands.

  • Travel extensively around the state (up to 60% throughout the year) will be required.

  • Engage effectively with business and industry representatives, government officials, and the public, representing the Wyoming Office of Tourism with professionalism and expertise.

  • Utilize public speaking experience and strong interpersonal skills to interact with industry stakeholders, including elected officials and other policy makers.

Position Requirements:

  • Education and/or training equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field, plus at least five (5) years of progressive professional experience developing and managing creative assets for brands. Preferred at least two (2) years in a leadership or managerial capacity.

  • Exceptional project management skills, strong organizational abilities, and meticulous attention to detail, coupled with demonstrated strategic thinking and visioning.

  • Proven ability to exercise independent judgment, discretion, and initiative, utilizing tact and courtesy in frequent contact with business and industry representatives, government officials, and the public.

  • Expert working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Extensive experience working in Digital Asset Management platforms (e.g., CrowdRiff or similar).

  • Video production and editing skills are a plus but not required.

  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment, with a strong sense of responsibility and the ability to adjust priorities effectively.

  • Solid understanding of production and licensing rights for footage and video across all channels.

  • Demonstrated savviness with various digital channels and a keen awareness of emerging social media trends, content formats, and platform-specific best practices.

  • A proactive and critical eye for evaluating creative assets for their social media potential, understanding what resonates with online audiences.

  • Strong collaborative spirit and a desire to bring best practices to the team through shared knowledge and expertise.

  • Proven ability to work well both independently and as a contributing team player, fostering trust, rapport, and strong working relationships.
