Our state-of-the-art facility in Farmingdale, NY, houses departments for Machining, Carpentry, Paint Finishing, Sculpting, 3D Printing, and Large-Format Printing, allowing us to bring creative visions to life with precision and artistry.
We are seeking an experienced Creative/Scenic Production Manager to lead the production of high-quality scenic elements, oversee fabrication workflows, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to our exacting standards.
Responsibilities
Production & Project Management
• Oversee the fabrication and production of scenic, experiential, and retail display elements, ensuring top-tier craftsmanship and creative integrity.
• Collaborate with designers, engineers, and fabricators to translate creative concepts into buildable and executable projects.
• Develop and manage production timelines, ensuring that projects meet deadlines and budgets.
• Coordinate with internal departments (Carpentry, Paint, Machining, etc.) to optimize workflow and efficiency.
Team Leadership & Communication
• Lead and support a multidisciplinary team, fostering a culture of creativity and accountability.
• Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and provide innovative solutions to meet creative and structural requirements.
Quality Control & Installation
• Maintain high standards of finishing, detailing, and craftsmanship in all produced elements.
• Oversee on-site installations, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to creative intent.
• Ensure all scenic elements are safe, durable, and compliant with industry standards.
Qualifications
✅ 5+ years of experience in scenic fabrication, experiential production, or creative project management within the retail, events, or theater industries.
✅ Strong understanding of fabrication techniques, materials, and finishes (woodworking, metalworking, painting, etc.).
✅ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files.
✅ Experience managing budgets, schedules, and teams in a fast-paced environment.
✅ Hands-on problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
✅ Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
✅ Ability to travel for installations as needed.
