Credible Messenger

Join our team as the Credible Messenger! You’ll work closely with the Statewide Program Director and CEO to oversee and lead the operation of this impactful, grant-funded program. Need to have lived experience in Juvenile Court System or Adult Corrections. This position is contingent upon the availability of funds, offering a dynamic opportunity to make a real difference in the community.

The impactful work you'll be doing:

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of the Credible Messenger Program in the 7th Judicial District, including supervising CFI employees (hiring, training, assigning responsibilities, and managing performance). Address issues related to the grant with Credible Messengers.
• Lead program development and expansion, maintaining communication with the 7th Judicial District, communities, and Contract Manager through regular meetings.
• Track, manage, and report on data, ensuring grant performance measures are met and implementing strategies for program success.
• Attend all community and grant-related meetings.
• Collaborate with local leaders to promote the Credible Messenger program, monitor capacity and training, and address barriers to implementation. Maintain regular communication with the Program Director to ensure efficient operations.
• Coordinate with the CFO to ensure budget accountability for the grant.
• Attend meetings, trainings, and technical assistance sessions with the Academy for Transformation Change.
• Stay informed on relevant program knowledge to effectively serve clients, educate the community, and meet contractual standards.

A Bachelor's degree in a human services field is required, along with at least two years of experience working with youth and families in a community-based program. Knowledge of motivational interviewing, strong leadership skills, and the ability to supervise with a trauma-informed approach are essential.

Must have prior lived experience with the Juvenile Justice System or Adult Corrections.
