Job Description - Credit Analyst

The Credit Analyst is responsible for the credit collection process and other routine office duties and may assist the Credit Manager in some of these functions. This position directly reports to the Finance Manager or the Credit Manager where appropriate.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and approve all requests for credit using appropriate company guidelines.
  • Handle all accounts receivable collections for assigned location.
  • Make contact and take appropriate action to collect on all NSF checks.
  • Assist in Accounts receivable, cash receipts/collections and daily deposit.
  • Prepare and distribute all monthly statement of accounts.
  • Handle all reporting, filing, and collections paperwork on a timely basis.
  • Enforce all aspects of company credit policy while handling various duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Cross-train as required in other areas.
  • Complete Special projects as needed.
  • Support and propagate the safety and health requirements of the company.
  • Complies with Company's attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
  • Other duties as assigned by company management.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Minimum education required- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum experience preferred-3 years of credit and collection management experience in the construction industry.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Special skills/knowledge required- Ability to handle interpersonal conflict, strong verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to pursue collections as needed to meet goals of company. Working knowledge of collections and lien holder laws.
  • Confidentiality requirement-high.
  • Experience with MS Office, and ability to work with credit software applications.
  • Travel will be 10% of the time to operation locations.
  • Physical demands include lift up to 25 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. on a random basis, standing, walking or sitting for extended periods of time, and bending or stooping.
