Key Responsibilities

  • Review covenant compliance calculations and supporting reporting; update internal tracking and promptly identify potential covenant violations or adverse trends.
  • Assist senior underwriters and relationship managers with underwriting new credit requests by gathering information, completing financial analysis, researching industries, and drafting assigned portions of credit memoranda.
  • Prepare clear, concise credit memoranda, annual review narratives, portfolio reports, and presentations that summarize financial performance, key risks, mitigating factors, and recommended follow-up actions.
  • Conduct economic, industry, borrower, and portfolio research to support credit analysis and special projects.
  • Assist with portfolio reporting, data validation, process improvement initiatives, and other special projects assigned to the credit team.
  • Communicate professionally with relationship managers, underwriters, credit officers, loan operations, and other internal partners to obtain information and keep assigned work moving.
  • Follow the bank’s credit policies, procedures, approval requirements, regulatory expectations, and documentation standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organization, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and in discussions with internal partners.
  • Curiosity, sound judgment, and willingness to ask questions, accept feedback, and develop independent analytical conclusions.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team supporting designated relationship manager portfolios and to assist across commercial lending areas as business needs require.
