The Credit Clerk will play a vital role in the Credit department. They are responsible for setting up customer accounts, including, but not limited to taking payments, data changes, answering incoming calls and supporting the Credit Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Accurately set up new accounts.
Answers incoming calls and handles payments and questions.
Contact customers via email and phone calls to collect on delinquent accounts.
Upload tax certifications to accounts.
Process data changes and maintain account information.
Receive payments.
Process revised invoices.
Respond to emails regarding customer applications, copy of invoices, and general inquiries.
Provide credit references.
Provide proformas to customers
Release orders from the assigned queue.
Interface with other departments to ensure excellent customer service.
Perform other assigned duties and tasks necessary to support the Credit Department as a whole.
Requirements
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in customer service and collections.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills with the ability to manage priorities and workflow effectively.
Versatility, flexibility, and a positive attitude towards working within constantly changing priorities.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
