Credit Department Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE 

This position reports to the Credit Manager

Family owned Wine and Sprits Wholesaler in Avon Mass

Is looking for a Full Time person in our Credit Department

The hours are 9:30 am to 6 pm Monday though Friday

The job duties are:

Scan checks into Bank

Add checks to make sure they balance w/ the scanned balance

Apply customers payments via checks mailed in and On-Line payments

Add any application issues into excel spreadsheet by salesperson-Go through this sheet regularly to apply what can be applied—update the spreadsheet

Run overdue reports regularly during your shift

Contact sales staff regarding overdues---Follow up phone calls if you have not rec’d a call back

Answer salespersons questions- These are many and varied-

Fax or email copies of invoices to customers per their request for same

Set up new accounts (for customers and suppliers)-research license and make sure they are not on the list-get approval and enter into system Also make changes as needed to existing accounts

Enter all journal entries

Continually work on (with salesperson) unapplied checks to resolve any issues

Work on any projects new and ongoing that the Credit Manager requests

Communicate with the Credit Manager (if she is unavailable reach out to the Controller) of any out of the ordinary situations that arise regarding the accounts 

Work on any projects new and ongoing that the Credit Manager requests

Cover the Credit Managers responsibilities when she is out of office

This position starts at $37,440.00 per year
