Credit Manager - Operations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the credit department, ensuring high customer service standards and efficient handling of inquiries and disputes, promoting fairness and transparency.
• Provide leadership to the credit operations team, setting clear objectives that align with broader financial and growth strategies.
• Facilitate coordination between credit and other departments, such as sales, marketing, and compliance, to ensure a unified approach to client service, risk management, and product delivery.
• Oversee due diligence and credit approval processes within established guidelines, ensuring strong credit quality and effective risk control.
• Guide the adoption of new credit technologies and methodologies for greater operational efficiency and enhanced risk assessment.
• Monitor and review the credit portfolio regularly, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s risk appetite through thorough risk assessments.
• Remain up to date on market trends, economic shifts, and regulatory developments, adapting credit policies as needed and offering strategic insights to support business development.
• Produce and analyse credit reports and conduct portfolio stress testing as required.
• Participate in internal committees, contributing informed credit-related insights.
• Develop, update, and implement credit policies, procedures, and guidelines in line with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
• Oversee regulatory credit reporting and ensure full departmental compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Lead, manage, and develop team members within the credit department to enhance overall capability and performance.
