About the Role:

Maine Savings is looking for a Credit Resolution Specialist to assist in preserving the credit union's assets by engaging with members regarding delinquent loan accounts, collecting delinquent loan payments and/or recovering collateral.  You will use your knowledge base to review delinquent accounts, determine probable reasons for account status, and contacts members to resolve the delinquencies. You will ensure that the Credit Union's professional image and commitment to people helping people is maintained. What You'll Do:

• Contacts delinquent accounts by phone and mail; takes appropriate action to bring current.
• Analyzes financial situation of delinquent borrowers; makes recommendations to repossess collateral when other arrangements to bring the loan current are unsuccessful.
• Maintains accurate files and reports on all collection's activity.
• Testifies at legal proceedings as required.
• Informs management of trends in loan underwriting contributing to delinquent/charged-off loans.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned. 

 What We're Looking For: 

• Someone who excels with interpersonal contact with others for the purposes of conflict resolution, in what can be a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication. 
• One to three years of similar or related experience. 
• High school education or GED equivalent.
