Location: This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in Del Mar, California, offering a professional coastal San Diego work environment and close collaboration with an experienced litigation team.

Note: Candidates must be actively licensed to practice law in California. This opportunity is ideal for attorneys with 0 to 3 years of litigation experience, including recent law school graduates who have passed the California Bar and are ready to develop strong hands-on litigation skills. Creditors' rights or collections experience is preferred but not required.

Job Description

  • Manage a high-volume caseload of commercial and consumer collection matters from inception through post-judgment proceedings.
  • Appear in California courts both in person and virtually for hearings and other litigation proceedings.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, declarations, and other litigation documents in compliance with California law and court rules.
  • Communicate directly with clients regarding case status, litigation strategy, and recommended next steps.
  • Work closely with experienced paralegals and support professionals who assist with the litigation process.
  • Develop practical litigation, negotiation, case management, and courtroom skills.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and team leaders across the firm on case strategy, procedures, and best practices.
  • Participate in firm-wide initiatives and business development efforts as your experience grows.

Qualifications

  • Active California Bar license required.
  • 0 to 3 years of litigation experience.
  • Recent California-licensed attorneys are encouraged to apply.
  • Creditors' rights, collections, commercial litigation, or financial services experience is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and case management abilities.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Additional state bar admissions are a plus.
