Crew Lead

Global Environmental & Industrial Response (GEIR) is looking for a responsible person for leading a team performing environmental and industrial services.

Global provides heavy industrial cleaning services to utilities, phosphate/ mining, chemical plants, pulp & paper, and manufacturing facilities with specialization in hydro blasting and vacuum truck work. We provide customized solutions for sulfuric acid facilities, including preventative maintenance and repairs and full turn-key turnaround services. We also offer a variety of waste processing and handling services to ensure that waste generated from client sites, is collected, transported, and disposed of by local, state, and federal regulations.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure that all equipment and tools are prepared and ready for job.


• Conduct a Pre-con Meeting and complete a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) form before beginning a job.


• Complete and review job packs and dailies and forward to administrative team daily.


• Technical Expertise in operation of heavy equipment and Industrial services and be able to fill in for any operational role as needed.


• Train new employees on job-related skills


• Performs other duties as directed.


• 1 hour per month of Leadership training

Required Skills:

• 1-2 years’ experience managing and scheduling employees to perform industrial and environmental services.


• Prior experience in an industrial / plant setting .


• Must have excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and be able to interface with employees in all levels of the company. Professional oral and written interpersonal communication.


• Ability to carry/move up to 50 Lbs.


• Ability to perform manual labor in an outside setting.


• Ability to perform work conducted in and around confined spaces and at elevated heights.


• Ability to use a respirator in environments where there may be exposure to chemicals, fumes, etc. May be required to be clean-shaven.


• Ability to work over an 8+ hour shift if required. May be called out for Emergency response.


• Maintain valid Driver License - CDL preferable.


• Preferred 2-4 years of hands-on experience and operation with tools / heavy equipment.

PAY:

• $20.00 - $24.00 (Pay is commensurate with prior experience)

SCHEDULE:

• Varies - will consist of day and/or nights.
