Job Summary

The Crew Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating highway maintenance operations, supervising multiple crews, and ensuring maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. This role involves scheduling work, supporting travel logistics, overseeing roadway maintenance projects, and providing leadership to field teams while maintaining high safety and performance standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform highway maintenance operations.
• Supervise and coordinate multiple maintenance crews.
• Schedule work assignments and support travel arrangements.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company procedures.
• Monitor roadway maintenance activities and project progress.
• Operate and oversee the use of hand and power tools and maintenance equipment.
• Utilize technology, smartphones, and Microsoft Office applications for daily operations.
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required.
• Perform additional duties related to roadway maintenance and crew management.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of roadway maintenance experience.
• Experience managing multiple crews.
• Basic knowledge of roadway maintenance operations.
• Associate Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Ability to use smartphones and related applications.
• Knowledge of mechanics and operation of hand and power tools.
• Ability to adapt to changing work schedules.
• Ability to work safely in various weather and environmental conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor.
• Clean driving record required.
• Must pass background and drug screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of roadway maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of roadway repair specifications, including concrete, guardrail, and asphalt repair.
• MOT Certifications.
• Bilingual skills.
