CREW LEADER PARKS & GROUNDS

The City of Bowie is seeking applicants for the position of Crew Leader in our Parks & Grounds Division.  The ideal applicant will have the ability with the ability to perform heavy manual labor, understand and follow specific instructions, use hand tools and chain saws, mowers and weed eaters. Knowledge and skills in landscape and turf maintenance and development.  The ability to maintain a good working relationship with fellow employees, supervisors, and the general public is a must, along with the ability to drive a pick-up truck with a landscaping trailer.  Must obtain CDL within 90 days of hire.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• HS Diploma or GED


• Able to follow written and oral instructions


• Ability to perform heavy manual labor, ability to understand and follow specific instructions


• Experience operating landscaping equipment 


• Valid Driver’s License

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:   

• Possession of a Valid Class B CDL


• Extensive grounds maintenance experience


• Some supervisory experience

Salary:  $23.99 Per hour
