Crew Member

Summary: As a Crew Member you play a pivotal role in ensuring customers receive the best experience whether it’s when you are making a drink for them or putting together their food.  

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers, record orders, and serve food and beverages with a consistently positive and helpful attitude, including answering questions about the menu 
• Input orders into a point-of-sale system and accept payment using a credit card reader or cash register, calculating change accurately and quickly as required 
• Work together with the team to prepare food and drinks to customer specifications while following cooking instructions, safety procedures, and sanitary requirements 
• Ensure restaurant cleanliness daily by clearing and wiping tables, sweeping and mopping floors, washing and sanitizing kitchen utensils, and servicing restrooms 
• Escalate issues to store leadership

Qualifications:

• Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays 
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality, with or without reasonable accommodation 
• Meet store operating policies and standards, including providing quality beverages and food products, cash handling, and store safety and security, with or without reasonable accommodation 
• Engage with and understand our customers, including discovering and responding to customer needs through clear and pleasant communication 
• Prepare food and beverages to standard recipes or customized for customers, including recipe changes such as temperature, quantity of ingredients, or substituted ingredients 
• Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift 
• Love working as a team and appreciate the chance to collaborate 
• Understand how to create a great customer service experience 
• Have a focus on quality and take pride in your work 
• Are open to learning new things (especially the latest beverage or food recipe!)

Environmental and Physical Activity Requirements:

This job operates in a fast-paced food and beverage service setting that involves standing and walking for extended periods of time. This role routinely uses food and beverage service equipment such as coffee brewers, blenders, and food prep utensils. The daily responsibilities of this position constantly require effective talking, hearing, walking, finger dexterity, reaching, stooping, and grasping functions. The position also often requires reaching, lifting (up to 25 pounds). This position operates in a range of temperatures, from ambient conditions to extreme heat or cold. Must be able to read print and computer-based materials and to do so with consistent accuracy.
