Behavioral Healthcare Partners of Central Ohio (BHP) is seeking an experienced and visionary Crisis Services Director to lead our comprehensive crisis intervention and stabilization services. This executive leadership position is responsible for providing strategic direction, clinical oversight, and operational leadership for crisis programs serving individuals experiencing behavioral health and substance use emergencies throughout our communities.


The Crisis Services Director plays a vital role in ensuring timely access to high-quality, person-centered crisis care while leading multidisciplinary teams, driving quality improvement initiatives, fostering community partnerships, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. This position works closely with executive leadership, hospitals, first responders, law enforcement, schools, courts, and community providers to strengthen the local crisis response system and improve outcomes for individuals and families.

What You'll Do


As the Crisis Services Director, you will:



  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for crisis intervention, stabilization, mobile crisis, school-based, correctional, and other assigned crisis services.

  • Lead and mentor supervisors and clinical staff while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional development.

  • Develop and implement evidence-based clinical practices, policies, and procedures that promote high-quality, person-centered crisis care.

  • Ensure continuity of services, operational excellence, and appropriate staffing across all crisis programs.

  • Monitor clinical quality, documentation, productivity, and key performance indicators to ensure exceptional service delivery.

  • Lead quality improvement initiatives and collaborate with agency leadership to strengthen clinical outcomes and operational performance.

  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with hospitals, first responders, law enforcement, schools, courts, and community organizations.

  • Ensure compliance with CARF accreditation standards, Ohio Department of Behavioral Health requirements, HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and all applicable federal and state regulations.

  • Represent BHP in community collaborations, committees, and strategic planning initiatives.

  • Promote innovation and continuous improvement through emerging best practices in crisis intervention and behavioral healthcare.


What We're Looking For


Education



  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field required.


Licensure



  • Independent Ohio behavioral health license required (LISW-S, LPCC-S, or equivalent).

  • Supervisory designation (S) preferred.

  • Valid Ohio driver's license required.


Experience



  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible behavioral healthcare leadership experience preferred.

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary clinical teams and crisis intervention services.

  • Experience with CARF accreditation, Ohio Department of Behavioral Health standards, and evidence-based crisis intervention practices preferred.
