We are Looking for a Overnight Supervisor.

Purpose:

The CSU Supervisory is a middle management position with the responsibility for the daily management of unit and staff activities, scheduling, orientation, development, implementation and reporting of unit procedures, and the coordination of resident flow from CSU to their internal/external SCMHC services. This position reports to the Acute Care Director.

Major Responsibilities:

Administrative:

• Responsible for staffing according to shift needs and requirements.
• Responsible for hiring, orientation, training, evaluating and on-site daily supervision of staff.
• Monitoring the recordkeeping of 01/UM information, monthly statistics, and incidents reports.
• Establish, maintain and update the unit’s policies and procedures.
• Responsible for working with the Facility Director to ensure that the housekeeping, maintenance and dietary needs of the unit are met.
• Conduct monthly staff meetings.
• On call by SCMHC; to provide staff coverage to keep unit operable 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
• Completes evaluations of staff performance and staff development

Clinical:

• Directs the treatment team to ensure that appropriate treatment is given to the Clients while on the unit and disposition at the time of discharge.
• Responsible for monitoring the legal status of clients while on the unit as it pertains to F.S. 394.

Occasional Tasks:

• Attend Supervisor’s Meetings
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• BA/BS in Behavioral Sciences or an RN License in the State of Florida. Masters in Behavioral Sciences preferred.
• 3-5 years experience supervising staff with varied backgrounds.
• Must have 3-5 years experience in the mental health field.
• Medical background preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Working knowledge of PC.
• Aware of needs for psychiatric population, both adults and children’s, as well as poly substance abuse population.
• Ability to document accurately and maintain organization.
• Ability to communicate with staff.
• Ability to perform tasks that are expected of nursing staff and be able to educate staff as needed.
