Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our independent anesthesia team. This CRNA-only practice offers full autonomy, a diverse case mix, and an attractive compensation package including a $375K base salary with additional income potential through optional extra call shifts. With 7 weeks of annual time off and minimal callbacks, this position delivers the perfect balance of professional challenge and personal freedom.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive anesthesia services independently across multiple specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, gastroenterology, and obstetrics
- Administer general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, and sedation techniques safely and effectively
- Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
- Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and manage post-anesthesia care
- Collaborate with surgical teams and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in call rotation with optional additional call opportunities for supplemental income
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
- Demonstrate commitment to continuous quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Current certification as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
- Eligible for Texas state licensure as a Registered Nurse and CRNA, or currently licensed in Texas
- Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
- Strong clinical skills and commitment to evidence-based anesthesia practice
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in regional anesthesia techniques including nerve blocks and epidurals
- Experience with diverse surgical specialties and patient populations
