Position Overview

This CRNA position is based in a specialized orthopedic facility where you'll work alongside experienced surgeons and healthcare leaders who have served the community for many years. You'll practice with a high degree of autonomy in a weekday-only schedule with no call requirements, focusing primarily on elective orthopedic cases including total joint replacements, knee and hip procedures, arthroscopic surgeries, and select pain management interventions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia for orthopedic surgical procedures including total joint replacements, knee surgeries, hip replacements, and arthroscopic procedures
  • Perform regional anesthesia techniques and nerve blocks for orthopedic cases
  • Provide anesthesia services for light pain management procedures
  • Conduct comprehensive pre-anesthetic assessments and patient evaluations
  • Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and recovery
  • Manage anesthesia cases independently with physician collaboration available
  • Maintain accurate anesthesia records and documentation
  • Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, surgical staff, and healthcare team members

Job Requirements

  • Active Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) certification required
  • Eligible for Texas CRNA licensure or currently licensed in Texas
  • Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia educational program
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in Nurse Anesthesia
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
  • Demonstrated competency in independent case management and clinical decision-making
  • Experience with orthopedic anesthesia and regional anesthesia techniques preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to patient safety and quality care
