CROP WORKER

Location: San Juan Bautista, California

Employment Type: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Key Responsibilities

As a Crop Worker, you will play a vital role and your mail duties will include:

• Care and treatment of crops and trials.
• Execution of emasculations and crossings according to a crossing scheme.
• Harvesting of crossings, seeds and fruits of the crops.
• Participation in all crop care, seed extraction, cleaning and/or breeding support activities.
• Daily functional guidance of seasonal workers.
• Co-responsible for a healthy and safe working environment.
• Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• We are looking for someone who is proactive, safety-conscious, and organized. You should be able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team. The ideal candidate will have:
• Related experience a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel a plus.
• Work on weekends and holidays, as necessary.
• Work outside in different weather conditions.
• Strong planning, execution of own, more complex programs and organizational skills.
• A thorough understanding of English, both verbal and written is required.
• The ability to speak and understand some Spanish is highly desired.
• The ability to work independently.
• The ability to guide less experienced Crop Workers, seasonal workers and be the direct point of contact for colleagues outside own department.
• Be responsible for own projects, overview the communication towards Breeders.
• Work includes simple administrative tasks.
• Must be an eligible driver under our insurance policy.

Compensation & Benefits

The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the pay range and benefits for the position posted. The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, and other objective job-related factors.

Estimated starting hourly pay is $22 - $24. The starting hourly pay is offered in good‑faith, based on role level, skill, qualifications and local market data.
