Pay Range: $20–$23 per hour (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Cross Bore Technician to join our team in Peoria, IL. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting sewer camera inspections to identify and document potential cross bores caused by directional drilling or utility installation. You will work independently or in teams in both residential and commercial environments to ensure utility lines are clear of obstructions and compliant with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform camera inspections of sewer laterals to identify cross bores and other obstructions  
• Accurately document inspection findings using field technology and reporting tools  
• Coordinate with field crews, project managers, and utility companies to ensure safe and efficient operations  
• Operate and maintain specialized inspection equipment (e.g., lateral launch cameras, locators)  
• Follow all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including confined space and traffic safety practices  
• Travel to job sites within the Peoria area as needed  

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sewer inspection, utility locating, or related field preferred  
• Ability to interpret utility maps and construction drawings  
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, trenches, and outdoor environments  
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures  
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record  
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening
