The Fields Corner Crossroads Collaborative sponsors this Children’s Health Equity
(CHEq) grant-funded position. The Crossroads Project Coordinator will support the
final two years of the 3-year implementation of the CHEq scope of services planning
initiative. Crossroads Collaborative aims to develop a shared platform and implement a
plan that unites Fields Corner’s diverse communities to outline issues/policies that
stabilize low- income and working-class residents, especially children. Our eight
organizations represent anchor institutions within the neighborhood that connect work
on affordable housing, anti-gentrification, economic justice, healthcare, youth
development, early education, and anti-violence.
The Program Coordinator II plays a leadership role in supporting the implementation,
coordination, and continuous improvement of youth development and community
engagement programs within the Fields Corner Crossroads Collaborative. Working
closely with the Project Director and Program Coordinator and The Program
Coordinator II works collaboratively with Crossroads’ staff, Collaborative members, and
community partners to carry out the responsibilities below and reports to the Project Director.
Support the planning, implementation, and coordination of Youth Council activities
in partnership with the Program Coordinator II.
Assist with developing meeting agendas, workshop curricula, and leadership
development activities.
Support Program Coordinator II with Youth Council recruitment and onboarding.
Support with facilitation of Youth Council program implementation.
Assist in managing youth-led projects and initiatives from planning through
evaluation.
Support Program Coordinator II with Crossroads Youth Board attendance and paid
hours tracking.
Participatory Budgeting & Events
Support the coordination and implementation of the annual $100,000 Participatory
Budget process.
Assist with planning and logistics for the Young Leaders Symposium, youth mental
health forum, and community engagement events.
Communication & Media Management
Support with manage and maintain the Youth Council’s social media presence.
Review and approve posts in coordination with the Youth Board Content Manager.
Community Engagement
Attend community events and community meetings on behalf of the collaborative.
MEETINGS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Weekly Meeting - Attend weekly planning and accountability meetings with the
Project Director to review progress, address barriers, and align deliverables.
Creative Planning Sessions - Participate in collaborative planning sessions focused
on curriculum development, workshop design, facilitation strategy, and youth
engagement approaches.
Team Huddles - Attend weekly Crossroads team huddles to support coordination
across projects and collaborative initiatives.
CYC Strategic Planning Meetings - Participate in Crossroads Youth Council
strategic planning meetings to support summer programming development, agenda
planning, and youth leadership structures.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Experience working with youth and young adults, particularly ages 14–24
Background in youth development, facilitation, mental health education, or community organizing
Experience developing curriculum, workshops, or training materials preferred
Ability to facilitate youth-centered and culturally responsive spaces
Strong communication and organizational skills
Required Skills and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Slides)
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
