Job Summary for CT Recon Technologist:
Under the clinical direction of a radiologist and general supervision of the Center Manager, Technical Director, CT Development Specialist, and CT Supervisor performs radiographic, scanning and imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgement, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiographic imaging, CT imaging diagnosis and treatment planning. Assumes responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required. The services should be provided with attention to detail and friendly guest services.
Receives CT exams on a dedicated workstation from CT technologists and manipulates patient data sets into multiplanar reconstructions, maximum intensity projections, curved planar reformations, and 3D volume rendering series of images.
Provides length and diameter measurements on aneurysm findings.
Provides aortic sinus, Sino tubular and mid ascending thoracic aorta measurements on all angiography of the thoracic aorta.
Provides post processing on MSK data sets.
Prepares calcium scoring reports for heart screening, coronary and aortic valve exams.
Ensures all series of images are on PACS and assigns to a radiologist.
Communicates to all CT technologists through instant messenger.

Requirements
Experience:
3 years or more of Radiography Experience is preferred in an Outpatient Setting
Education:
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Required: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program or equivalent hospital based program
Possess current ARRT and State of Florida certification to practice medical radiography.
Complete the required hours of continuing education per certification or annual period, to satisfy State of Florida and Federal requirements
Completed required hours of continuing education per certification or annual period, as require by ACR, IAC, and State and Federal regulatory agencies
CT Certification by ARRT is desirable
Required: CPR Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
