Job Description - CT Scan Technologist

CT Scan Technician – McMinnville, OR | Radiology | Full-Time

Are you a skilled CT Scan Technician (also called CAT Scan Technologist, Computed Tomography Technologist, or Radiology Technician) looking to advance your career in a supportive healthcare environment? Join our state-of-the-art imaging department in McMinnville, Oregon, where you will play a vital role in delivering accurate, high-quality diagnostic imaging to patients. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures according to established protocols.
  • Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Operate CT equipment, monitor image quality, and adjust parameters as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, imaging logs, and comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Assist radiologists with image interpretation and provide technical support as needed.
  • Ensure proper radiation safety for patients, staff, and the environment.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to departmental standards.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
  • Current Radiation Operator certification in the state of Oregon.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a hospital or outpatient imaging settings.
  • Knowledge of PACS and EMR systems.
  • Advanced certifications in CT imaging or specialized radiology procedures.
