Radiologic Technologist – Job Requirements

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will meet the following qualifications:

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Patient Care Across All Ages: Must be knowledgeable in human growth and development and able to provide radiologic services for patients of all ages — from newborns to the elderly.

• Technical Expertise:

  • Proficient in computer technology.

  • Strong understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, and medical terminology.

• Imaging Proficiency:

  • Able to perform general diagnostic radiography, fluoroscopy, and portable imaging on patients of all ages.

  • High accuracy in positioning and exposure techniques.

  • Able to operate CT scan equipment with strong attention to detail.

• Communication & Teamwork: Excellent communication skills for working effectively with physicians, peers, and patients.

• Work Environment: Able to perform effectively in high-stress situations.

Certifications & Licenses (Required)

• Education: Completion of an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program.

• Certification:

  • ARRT (R) – Registered Radiologic Technologist

  • ARRT (CT) – CT certification required within 2 years of hire

  • BLS Certification – Must be from the American Heart Association (completed before orientation)

• Licensure: Valid Virginia Radiologic Technologist License
