CTE Coordinator/Business Teacher

We are seeking a passionate and results-driven CTE Coordinator and Part-Time Business Teacher to lead and strengthen our school’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) initiatives—particularly in business education. This hybrid role includes overseeing CTE program development, fostering strategic partnerships, and delivering high-quality instruction in business-related courses. The ideal candidate is both a systems thinker and an innovative educator who thrives at the intersection of workforce readiness and academic excellence.

CTE Program Coordination (Approximately 60%)

• Strategic Planning & Oversight
• Develop and refine CTE programs that align with industry needs, postsecondary options, and state education standards, with a focus on business pathways.
• Coordinate course offerings, scheduling, and curriculum alignment with local and state requirements.
• Industry & Postsecondary Partnerships
• Establish and sustain partnerships with local businesses, colleges, and community organizations to support internships, job shadows, and dual credit opportunities.
• Promote CTE programs through outreach to students, families, and community stakeholders.
• Compliance & Program Evaluation
• Manage reporting for state CTE requirements (e.g., Perkins V), certifications, and work-based learning experiences.
• Monitor program outcomes and make data-driven decisions to improve student achievement and career readiness.
• Staff & Student Support
• Provide support and resources to CTE teachers, including onboarding and professional development.
• Facilitate career exploration and planning for students in collaboration with counselors.

Teaching (Approximately 40%)

• Instruct students in one or more high school-level business courses such as Introduction to Business, Marketing, Entrepreneurship, Personal Finance, or Business Communications.
• Design engaging, standards-aligned lessons that incorporate real-world applications and project-based learning.
• Assess student learning, provide meaningful feedback, and support academic growth.
• Foster an inclusive and dynamic classroom culture focused on college and career readiness.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, CTE, or a related field.
• Valid teaching license with a Business or CTE endorsement (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Experience in education, workforce development, or career pathway programming.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.

Preferred

• Master’s degree in Education, Business, or Workforce Development.
• Experience managing Perkins grants or CTE compliance and reporting.
• Prior business or entrepreneurship experience.
• Familiarity with career pathways, industry-recognized credentials, and dual credit programs.
• Knowledge of local and regional workforce trends.
