Job Description - CTM Virtual Launchpad

Location: Hattie Mae White \n\nDepartment: Virtual Launchpad \n\nArea:District Wide \n\nContract Months:12 \n\nSalary Range: $110,000.00 \u2013 $135,000.00 \n\nAcademic Year: 25-26 \n\n## JOB SUMMARY\n\nLead and manage the implementation, enrollment systems, daily operations, instructional quality, and compliance of the HISD virtual Launchpad program. Serve as the operational and CTE administrator for the virtual school, ensuring alignment with district goals, TEA requirements, ADA compliance, and student success outcomes. Oversee hybrid CTE pathways in partnership with Barbara Jordan Career Center and collaborate closely with the Assistant Principal to support strategic initiatives, program growth, and continuous improvement efforts. \n\n## MAJOR DUTIES \u0026 RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nList most important duties first \n1\\. Oversee daily operations of the virtual Launchpad. \n2\\. Manage student enrollment processes, application review, lottery coordination (if applicable), and onboarding systems. \n3\\. Serve as liaison between campuses, PEIMS, counseling, scheduling, transportation (testing days), and district departments. \n4\\. Monitor student scheduling, course assignments, and roster accuracy. \n5\\. Ensure alignment between enrollment targets and program capacity. \n6\\. Coordinate transitions between virtual and on-campus placements when needed. \n7\\. Serve as CTE administrator for virtual Launchpad students. \n8\\. Oversee implementation of hybrid CTE pathways in partnership with Barbara Jordan Career Center. \n9\\. Coordinate CTE enrollment, scheduling, attendance monitoring, and certification tracking. \n10\\. Ensure compliance with TEA CTE reporting, IBC tracking, and program of study requirements.\n\n## MAJOR DUTIES \u0026 RESPONSIBILITIES CONTINUED\n\n11\\. Support teachers with curriculum implementation and virtual instructional best practices. \n12\\. Conduct instructional monitoring, walkthroughs, coaching, and feedback cycles. \n13\\. Collaborate with Academic, Compliance, and Performance Management teams. \n14\\. Support STAAR/EOC readiness planning and instructional alignment. \n15\\. Assist in developing systems for virtual engagement and instructional quality assurance. \n16\\. Monitor attendance, engagement, credit attainment, and graduation progress. \n17 Coordinate student intervention systems and support structures. \n18 Collaborate with counseling and graduation teams to ensure students remain on track. \n19 Analyze performance, attendance, and engagement data to guide decision-making. \n20 Support the Assistant Principal with strategic projects to grow and strengthen the school. \n21 Other duties as assigned.\n\n## EDUCATION\n\nBachelor\u0027s Degree, Master\u0027s Degree Preferred \n\n## WORK EXPERIENCE\n\nThe role requires prior experience in both classroom teaching and school leadership.\n\n## SKILL AND/OR REQUIRED LICENSING/CERTIFICATION\n\nSoftware \nPeopleSoft \nSAP \nHTML \nMicrosoft Office \nChancery\n\nCertifications/Licensure\n\nEquipment \nOffice equipment (e.g., computer, copier)\n\n## LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES\n\nLevel 3-Manages. Accomplishes the majority of work objectives through the management of direct reports. Provides day-to-day directions to staff; may become directly involved, as required, to meet schedules and resolve problems. Responsible for assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring application of policies and procedures. Receives assignments in the form of objectives, with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Provides input to hiring, performance and budget.\n\n## WORK COMPLEXITY/INDEPENDENT JUDGMENT\n\n-Work is non-standardized and widely varied, involving many complex and significant variables including significant time spent planning, evaluating complex solutions and issues, and negotiating outcomes. Strong analytic ability and inductive thinking are frequently required to devise new approaches to situations where previously accepted solutions have proven inadequate. Position regularly makes recommendations to management on areas of significance to the division. Supervision received typically consists of providing periodic coaching, advice, and feedback. \n\n## BUDGET AUTHORITY\n\n-Specifies requirements for a plan and/or budget.\n\n-Participates in a group plan and/or budget development.\n\n## PROBLEM SOLVING\n\n-Decisions are made with greater freedom and discretion, including recommendations that are subject to approval on matters that may affect multiple departments across HISD. Job is frequently expected to recommend new solutions to problems, to improve existing methods/procedures/services and generate new ideas. May also review decisions made by other individuals on more routine matters. \n-Greater latitude and discretion are warranted in making decisions, which affect major areas of HISD and possibly the organization\u0027s public image. The job is constantly expected to apply creative solutions to complex problems and develop new ideas and concepts. Reviews and approves decisions and/or recommendations that may have a significant impact on the entire organization.\n\n## IMPACT OF DECISIONS\n\n-Decisions have considerable impact to multiple divisions or the organization causing risks or improvements to relationships, significant efficiencies, or delays in operations, and/or significant financial gains or expenses. Errors are serious and difficult to discover, normally involve decisions not subject to detailed review and will result in excessive costs and/or significant project delays.\n\n## COMMUNICATION/INTERACTIONS\n\n-Negotiate and influence - interpret department strategies and services, resolves conflicts, influences outcomes on matters of significance for the division, conducts final negotiations and coordinates approvals/decision making below the executive level. Interactions are typically with customers and Top Management.\n\n## CUSTOMER RELATIONSHIPS\n\n-Regularly assesses and diffuses complex and escalate customer issues. Takes personal responsibility and accountability for solving systemic customer service problems.
