Culinary Enrichment Teacher I

Position Description:

The Culinary Enrichment Teacher 1 collaborates with other Teachers to implement and manage culinary-based educational enrichment programs and cooking classes. This role involves supporting instructional activities, preparing materials, and providing individualized attention to students to foster a dynamic and engaging learning environment centered around cooking and culinary arts.

Responsibilities:

• Review lesson plans in advance on a weekly basis.
• Watch recorded video trainings.
• Check-in with Enrichments Manager or supervisors as needed for questions and classroom support.
• Organize lessons by setting out materials, prepping food portions, and following the Lead Teacher's guidance for lesson execution.
• Participate in teacher training sessions before the start of the semester.
• Distribute any applicable materials or handouts to students before the class concludes.
• Provide feedback in the designated channel within 48 hours after each class.
• Notify Enrichment Manager and/or supervisors of any in-class incidents as soon as possible utilizing incident reports.

• Previous experience working with children
• Must pass a background check, including sex offender search, criminal search and national watchlist search.
• TB Immunization required
• Additional background checks and immunization requirements may vary depending on the school.
