Position Summary

The Gregory Allicar Museum of Arts is hiring an employee to work with the museum collection under the direction of the Associate Director & Senior Collections Manager.

The employee will need to catalogue, research, and write about objects in the collection. They will be required to perform other general museum tasks as needed. They should be highly organized, efficient with details, and able to work independently, as well as in a team.

• Developing exhibitions
• Writing gallery wall text
• Reviewing label information for accuracy

Conditions of Employment

Supervision

Does not have any direct reports.

Minimum Qualifications

• Good organizational skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Good writing and editing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with museum object handling.
• Experience cataloguing museum collections.
• Experience researching and writing about museum objects.
