Custodial Manager

Oversees and coordinates facilities and maintenance for the Flint Cultural Center Corporation (FCCC) operated or contracted facilities.

• Position oversees Custodial Supervisory staff, providing direction on day-to-day duties
• Creates and coordinates biweekly work schedule for all custodian positions
• Develops and implements custodial training programs in conjunction with the custodial supervisors
• Travels to facility sites and inventories supplies for each janitorial closet
• Responsible for ordering and stocking needed supplies
•  Ensures compliance with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal government regulations including keeping MSDS books current
• Supervises and administers a safety program for all custodial and maintenance staff
• Assists the Director of Facilities in the development and review of the annual operation budget
• Fills in for custodians if shift isn’t covered and supervisor is unavailable
• Maintains regular and prompt attendance at work
• Displays professional and respectful behavior to all people in the workplace
• Follows organizational policies and procedures

Education/Qualifications/Skills Required

• High school education or equivalent
• 3-5 years of experience in facility management 
• 1 year scheduling experience
• Supervisory experience required; management of budgets, department or projects 
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, exceptional organizational, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written format with subordinates, supervisors, staff, vendors, clients, and others contacted in the course of work.
•  Ability to lift up to 50lbs

• Ability to be on feet for hours at a time
